B&O's most basic 'without the bells and whistles' tangential-tracking re-badged Beogram 6002 turntable, designed by Jacob Jensen. The two decks were very similar. The differences being that the cover over the arm at the side of the lid was black (as opposed to natural aluminium on Beogram 6002). And the TX had no Datalink module fitted. The deck was fitted with the excellent MMC3. The Beogram TX was an ideal addition to older Beomasters or Beosystems, for example the Beomaster 2400. Though with a suitable lead it could be connected to other makes of receiver too. This turntable was never a big seller, and the Beogram TX was replaced by the much less substantial, 5005-based Beogram TX2 in 1985.
