The TOMY Hootbot from mid 1980s, is a robot in the Omnibot family that is modeled after an owl. He "hoots" (more like a whistle from a steam train) while his large red eyes blink, his head turns, his wings flap, his tail wags, and his feet clack up and down on his perch. Other robots in this series were SpotBot (dog) and DingBot. The robot runs on 2xAA batteries.
Hoot! Hoot! Watch this owl go! Flashing Eyes - Flicking Tail - Flapping Wings - Moving Head & Feet!
Comes with his very own perch!
Hootbot operates on or off his perch. To place Hootbot on his perch, insert the peg on the perch into the hole on the bottom of the owl. When off his perch, Hootbot runs best on smooth, hard surfaces. To change the pattern this little owl runs, turn Hootbot upsidedown and adjust the front wheel.
